H.E.P.A. Filter Services Inc. is NEBB (National Environmental Balancing Bureau) Certified for Cleanroom Certification. Established in 1971, NEBB is the premier international certification association for firms that deliver high-performance building systems including heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems, execute sound and vibration testing, and test and certify laboratory fume hoods and electronic and biological cleanrooms. Our technicians are required to complete extensive training and testing programs to attain NEBB Certification status.

Our technicians are NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) accredited for Field Certification of biological safety cabinets (cabinets used on various labs that provide a sterile working environment as well as containment protecting the worker and the environment). NSF is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization and a world leader in standards development, product certification, education and risk-management for public health and safety. The organization currently serves manufacturers operating in over 80 countries and has been in existence for more than 75 years.

H.E.P.A. Filter Services Inc. is a member of the CSA (Canadian Standards Association). The CSA is a not-for-profit membership-based organization serving business, industry, government and consumers in Canada and the global marketplace. It develops standards that address important needs such as enhancing public safety and health, advancing the quality of life, helping to preserve the environment and facilitating trade. Members are kept up to date on its standards through information, education and training initiatives. 

H.E.P.A. Filter Services Inc. is ISO (International Organization for Standardization) registered. ISO, the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards, is a network of the national standards institutes of 162 countries. It’s a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors, enabling a consensus on solutions that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society. 

CABS (Canadian Association for Biological Safety) was formed in 1990 as the Canadian affiliate of ABSA (American Biological Safety Association). Its objective is to establish a Canadian network of individuals interested in a wide variety of biological safety issues. Its members are continually provided with information on current guidelines, standards and regulations relevant to biosafety as well as regional workshops and seminars on containment equipment and other important topics. 

ABSA (American Biological Safety Association) was founded in 1984 to promote biosafety as a scientific discipline and serve the growing needs of biosafety professionals throughout the world. Its goals are to represent the interests and needs of practitioners of biological safety and to provide a forum for the continued and timely exchange of biosafety information. To facilitate this, it holds regular review courses on principles and practices of biosafety as well as other timely educational updates. 

CETA (Controlled Environment Testing Association) is devoted to promoting and developing quality assurance within the controlled environment testing industry. It promotes quality assurance through the review of existing standards and the development of new methodologies, works with government and regulatory agencies on issues affecting this industry and fosters the effective transfer of industry technology and information. 

IEST (Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology) establishes and maintains standards, recommended practices, educational programs and communication forums regarding controlled and natural environment technologies. One of the foundation’s purposes is to promote the basic science and technology of contamination control. 

ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), founded in 1894, is an international organization with more than 50,000 members. It advances heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world. It accomplishes this through ongoing research, standards writing, technical and other publishing and continuing education for its members. It is also a leading provider of opportunities for professional growth in the sciences of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigerating. 

USP (United States Pharmacopeia) is a non-governmental, official public standards-setting authority for prescription and over-the-counter medicines, food ingredients, dietary supplements and other healthcare products manufactured or sold in the United States. USP standards relate to the quality, purity, strength, and consistency of these products. Its standards are widely recognized and used in more than 130 countries worldwide. The organization’s goal is to improve the health of people around the world through public standards and related programs that help ensure the quality, safety and benefit of medicines and foods.
